Upcoming Cisco Price Changes: What You Need to Know and How to Maximise Value

Cisco has announced upcoming price adjustments across its hardware and technical services portfolio. From September 13, 2025, hardware pricing will increase by an average of 3.4%, followed by similar uplifts for technical services on October 4 and October 11.

For many organisations, these changes may have an impact on planned upgrades, refresh cycles, and ongoing support contracts. At Cisilion, our role is to help you stay ahead of these market shifts — ensuring you continue to get the best value from your technology investments.

What’s Changing

  • Hardware: +3.4% average uplift, effective September 13, 2025
  • Technical Services: +3.4% average uplift, effective October 4 and October 11, 2025
  • Deal IDs: Any valid and approved Cisco Deal IDs will remain protected at current pricing

While Cisco has not yet published the full list of affected SKUs, early indications are that these increases will apply to the majority of the portfolio.

What It Means for You

If you’re planning network refreshes, hardware upgrades, or service renewals in the next 3–6 months, the timing of this increase could affect budgets. However, there are ways to mitigate the impact:

  • Lock in today’s pricing — Cisco quotes can be revalidated before September 13th, giving you up to 30 days price protection to order at current rates.
  • Plan strategically — reviewing upcoming projects now means you can sequence investments to secure best value.
  • Budget proactively — aligning procurement with business cycles avoids the need for last-minute decisions at higher cost.

Our Perspective: Turning Change into Opportunity

Price adjustments are not new in the IT industry. What differentiates successful organisations is how they plan around them. By acting early, IT leaders can protect budgets, accelerate key projects, and create certainty in an unpredictable market.

At Cisilion, we help our customers do more than simply respond to vendor updates. We use these moments as an opportunity to:
  • Optimise maintenance and support — Our Maintenance offering ensures you have full visibility and control over renewals and EOL dates, helping you avoid unnecessary cost increases and consolidate contracts for better efficiency.
  • Leverage Managed Services — Through our fully ITIL-accredited Service Centre, Cisilion’s Managed Services help you stay ahead of changes like this — delivering proactive technical support and optimisation, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, and risk elimination through active monitoring of renewals, lifecycle milestones, and dependencies.
  • Explore Cisco Enterprise Agreements — For organisations making significant Cisco investments, our Cisco EA practice helps simplify licensing, drive down costs, and align technology adoption with long-term business outcomes.
