Last week, our Modern Work, AI & Security Specialist, Mini Biswas had the honour of joining more than 55 senior leaders from across the UK technology ecosystem as part of the final judging panel for the UK Digital Revolution Awards 2026.
Hosted at Experian and brought together by Tenth Revolution Group, the day was both energising and inspiring — a powerful reminder of the innovation, ambition and depth of expertise shaping the future of digital transformation across the UK.
An exceptional standard of innovation
From the very first submission, one thing was clear: the standard this year was exceptional.
The quality of the entries, the depth of detail, and — most importantly — the real‑world impact demonstrated by organisations across sectors made judging both rewarding and challenging. In one category, the decision was so close that selecting a winner felt almost impossible, with every finalist bringing something meaningful to the table.
This is exactly what the UK Digital Revolution Awards are designed to celebrate: not innovation for innovation’s sake, but technology that delivers measurable, lasting value.
Why AI needs strong foundations to succeed
One of the standout moments of the day came during a live debate session, where our specialist argued the case that AI will fail in organisations without strong foundations, governance and operational maturity.
It’s a position shaped by real‑world experience — supporting senior leaders every day on AI strategy, agentic AI, and human‑centric adoption. Vision alone isn’t enough. Innovation must be underpinned by readiness, structure and responsible governance if it is to scale and succeed.
In other words:
Vision needs structure. Innovation needs readiness.
Bringing lived experience into the room
Beyond technical expertise, the judging process highlighted something equally important: representation.
As the only female Indian technologist on her judging panel, our specialist brought not only deep technical knowledge but lived experience into the discussion. Diversity matters — not as a tick‑box exercise, but because it enriches debate, sharpens decisions, and ensures we recognise impact that truly reflects the industry and the people it serves.
At the judging table, she was proud to contribute:
- A frontline perspective on AI readiness
- Deep expertise in governance, adoption and operational maturity
- A passion for human‑centric innovation
- A commitment to recognising real, measurable outcomes — not just “shiny” technology
A process built on fairness and rigour
And for anyone wondering — no, the awards are not fixed.
Every single entry was reviewed with rigour, collaboration and challenge. Judges debated, corroborated and aligned to ensure each decision was fair and evidence‑based. That integrity is what makes the UK Digital Revolution Awards so respected across the industry.
