Full Microsoft 365 tenant separation under time pressure
The divestiture required the complete separation of users, workloads, shared mailboxes and domains into a standalone Microsoft 365 tenant.
Domain migration added complexity, particularly as primary UPNs could not be retained across tenants. All activity needed to be completed within a tightly controlled change window.
Mixed device estate and identity complexity
The existing environment included a combination of Entra-joined, domain-joined and unmanaged devices.

Controlled change execution The migration was completed within a tightly managed weekend change window, supported by coexistence processes, re-licensing alignment and early life support.
This controlled execution minimised operational risk and ensured stability pre and post go-live.
