A key issue that I regularly discuss with my clients surrounds the explosion of data, and the challenge this presents for them in remaining compliant and protecting their information.
Many have invested in capabilities across the landscape of information protection and information governance, inclusive of archiving, retention, eDiscovery and communications supervision.
What is Enterprise Information Archiving?
Gartner defines Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) as software that combines products and solutions for archiving user messaging content, such as email, files, instant messaging, SMS/text, public and business social media data, website data, and voice.
This also includes other content, such as data stored in content collaboration platforms (CCPs), content services platforms (CSPs), file systems and cloud offices.
About the Report
It’s important that Infrastructure and Operations leaders should remember that Gartner’s Magic Quadrant does not simply rate a product’s quality, capabilities and features. Although the product is an important component of the rating, the vendor’s ability to acquire and support customers, as well as grow product and service revenue, is an equally important factor.
My Key Gartner Research Highlights:
