9% Price Rise for Microsoft Cloud in the UK

9% Price Rise for Microsoft Cloud in the UK

Written by Victoria Banard, Head of Microsoft Product & Licensing

Are you looking for clarity on Microsoft Cloud product pricing? Look no further! Microsoft has just announced their plan to align pricing for these products globally, adjusting for exchange rates in different currencies.

Starting April 1, 2023, pricing for Microsoft Cloud products will be adjusted in the following currencies: GBP (+9%), DKK, EUR, NOK (+11%), and SEK (+15%). In the future, Microsoft will assess pricing in local currency as part of a regular twice-a-year cadence, taking into consideration currency fluctuations relative to the USD. This will provide increased transparency and predictability for clients globally and move to a pricing model that is most common in our industry.

Note: Any existing licensing contracts subject to price protection will not be affected until the end of the subscription term. However, prices for new product additions or purchases will be determined by the pricelist at the time of order. Azure will not be affected by these changes as the pricing already aligns with USD.
