Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

My biggest inspiration is my late grandfather. Having spent my early childhood with him and then the many summers following, back home in Portugal, he taught me the importance of hard work, resilience, loyalty, high standards, uncompromising integrity, and compassion for others. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout his life, he always remained resilient, optimistic and open-minded. Even in his passing, his legacy continues to inspire me to strive for excellence and to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. I carry his values and lessons with me every day and apply them in my leadership mantra as well as my personal life.

 

What does going Beyond Expectations mean to you?

Beyond Expectations for me, is about pushing oneself to reach new heights, continuously improving, and making a lasting impact through exceptional performance and dedication.

 

Why did you join Team Cisilion?

I joined Cisilion because from the moment I engaged with the interview process, it felt more like a collaboration than a traditional interview. The openness, transparency, and genuine interest in my contributions and experience, instantly made me feel like part of the team. What truly resonated with me was the company’s business drive and ambition for the next level, which perfectly matched my own personal drive and aspirations.

Moreover, as I had the opportunity to meet the people behind the company, I was inspired by their passion, expertise, and commitment to excellence. It cemented my desire to be a part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team, making my decision to join Cisilion a straightforward one.

What are you most looking forward to about working at Cisilion?

I look forward to being part of the team that takes Cisilion on to the next level and delivering excellent services to our existing and new clients. To build and harness a high performing team, who focuses on supporting the business where required going beyond expectations. I want to look back at the successes to come and say, “I was part of that and what a great trip it’s been so far”.

 

What are you most proud of about your career so far?

I’ve been privileged to have many career successes, from opportunities to commercial wins to goals achieved. However, my most significant success would be being able and privileged to lead and build various teams of gifted technical minds and be responsible for the mentoring and self-development those who have gone on to achieve great things in their careers. I have no better joy and feeling than seeing someone grow under your wing, fulfilling their ambitions and becoming better than you – to have someone thank you for making a personal positive difference in their career and life; no money can buy that.

 

What are your long-term career aspirations?

My long-term career aspiration is to continuously grow, to push for the next level, and never settle. To learn from others on the journey and not lose sight of how I got there. Long-term career aspirations are deeply personal and can evolve over time; however, being able to reflect back on the positive contributions I made is something that drives me. To have made a lasting and memorable impact.

 

What is a professional goal of yours?

To lead by example and be able to support and grow others, you must also reflect and ensure you support and grow yourself. I want to obtain higher credentials and focus more on my self-development, much like I do for my teams. I want to be able to apply what I have learned in my day-to-day life despite the challenges of doing my day-to-day role and raising a young family.

 

What is a personal goal of yours?

To complete a triathlon.
